Nansenet
nansenet.kr · complete Korean translations of Chinese histories · free
Nansenet is an online library of complete Korean translations of the Chinese standard histories and classics. Every sentence is translated, including the traditional commentaries, and each paragraph is shown beside the original text so readers can check the translation line by line.
We use only public-domain editions such as the Siku Quanshu. Translation and review run on a workflow built on Claude: each work goes through several independent proofreading passes and an automated completeness check against the source before it is published. Errors reported by readers are fixed and recorded on a public errata page.
Available now
- Standard histories — Records of the Three Kingdoms (with Pei Songzhi's commentary), Book of the Later Han, History of the Southern Dynasties, Book of Liang, Book of Chen, Book of Southern Qi
- Other histories — Dongguan Hanji, Zhuge Zhongwu Shu, Record of the Buddhist Monasteries of Luoyang
- Scholarship and literature — Shiming, Duduan, Gujin Zhu, Shipin

Nanse Yeoljeon is a series of historical novels about figures from China's ages of division who are little known in Korea. Written closely from the primary sources we translate for Nansenet, each book follows a person through the wars and politics of their time.
Vol. 1 — Chen Qingzhi in the White Robe
Chen Qingzhi (陳慶之), a general of the Liang dynasty who led his white-robed army all the way to Luoyang, the capital of the Northern Wei.
Vol. 2 — The Masked Prince of Lanling
Gao Changgong (高長恭), Prince of Lanling of the Northern Qi, the general said to have fought wearing a mask, traced through the histories.
Volume 3 is in preparation. Release news is posted on our blog (in Korean).
